About Brian Grant

We are happy to have Brian Grant on our core team at Sports Turf Northwest. Before becoming a partner at Sports Turf Northwest, Brian Grant had a dazzling career in the NBA. He played for 12 years as a Power Forward and was the “heart & soul” of the Sacramento Kings, Portland Trail Blazers, Miami Heat, Los Angeles Lakers and Phoenix Suns (1994-2006). In 1999, he was the league winner of the NBA’s prestigious J. Walter Kennedy Citizenship award for his extensive community service work, particularly with seriously ill and underprivileged children.

Brian’s attention to charity has not dwindled since his days in the NBA. After being diagnosed with early onset Parkinson’s disease, he founded the Brian Grant Foundation in 2010. The Brian Grant Foundation supports efforts to build awareness and education of Parkinson’s disease in order to increase earlier diagnosis, educate patients and their families, and provide a viable forum for people affected by Parkinson’s.

Metro Toy Drive

This past weekend Brian teamed up to assist  Metro Toy Drive in the Portland area. Brian appeared on behalf of Amy Roloff  Charity Foundation and Sports Turf Northwest. You may know Amy Roloff from the television show Little People Big World. As a key sponsor of the toy drive Amy Roloff donated her time at the event alongside Brian. They visited a local Starbucks where donors brought their new toys for the toy drive.
